Broadhurst is comprised of a large residential and large industrial areas to the north of the Segoditshane River including the Extensions 43, 44, 54 and Tapologo Estates. Over the years Broadhurst has developed many unique residential clusters from low to medium cost housing through to upmarket, high-cost housing areas. This characteristic of Broadhurst, combined with it's ease of access to all parts of the City, makes Broadhurst a popular area to buy or rent a home in.  The industrial area of Broadhurst is home to businesses from manufacturing plants through to construction companies, from retail giants to tech businesses.

RESIDENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Much of Broadhurst started out as Botswana Housing Corporation Developments and as the area grew and became more attractive, clusters of residential areas grew. Land tenure in the Broadhurst area is leasehold. There is a wide variety of property available to buy or rent from small, one bedroomed flats to large family homes set in mature plots. There are several upmarket townhouse complexes offering secure family living (such as Tapologo Estates, Teemane Court, Bemcoville).

Many plots have been redeveloped and now boast gorgeous, large family homes. Many of the areas such as Extension 44, 43 and 54 have the original homes that feature large plots and mature gardens.

All the residential areas are located in close proximity to shops and schools.

COMMERCIAL CHARACTERISTICS:

The area of Broadhurst Industrial is large and spans from the edge of the residential areas opposite Kgalagadi Breweries (KBL), to the airport intersection right down to the Block 8 roundabout and is anchored by KBL and Sefalana Hyperstore. A wide variety of businesses of industrial, commercial, retail and manufacturing natures (from car dealers to farming supplies, from courier companies to brick manufacturers) have established in this area. Industrial lots with warehouses and lots with office blocks are situated on both sides of the railway line that intersects this zone.

Broadhurst Industrial area has developed alongside excellent access to the A1 Road with direct links to the northern and southern parts of the country and then on to the borders with neighbouring countries.
